Kurashiki Shioya, located in Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture, is a miso shop founded in 1785. The shop name is "Shioya Shoten".
In 1926, miso making began, along with sake brewing for many years. Shioya's miso is produced under the blessed climate of Setouchi, preserving the tradition of Okayama miso, using carefully selected high-quality soybeans, and sparingly salted for health.
It is manufactured in a sanitary manner using its own techniques and modern technology that have been cultivated over many years, and it is very popular for its mellow flavor and richness with a large amount of koji, as well as its unique aroma and deliciousness.
